The Lego League is done, enjoyed by all. Hard work but well worth it! Just got to count all of the Lego for next year!

New and improved Flock Browser

I am a Flock Convert.  Flock is a browser based on the Mozilla browser.  It brings together all of the social networking tools you already use - gives you access to all by maintaining your login details for you.  Keeps your Flickr photos at your fingertips - BUT not only yours but anyone else's too!  Facebook, Myspace - keeps a track of your contacts and online "friends".
Get Flock NOW - you know you want to!  (no I don't work for Flock NOR do I own shares (but I wish I did!)

Naace Conference Continues...

Wednesday - Today was thought provoking. Some messages seemed old - having not changed within the last 12 months. The first break-out sessionabout LPs and VLEs and how to deliver and implement them was very interesting giving me much to think about! The networking afternoon with suppliers was very good. A chance for focused discussions and a chance for a real opportunity to participate in using software. I also touched base with "Turn It on Tom" too!

Naace Conference 2008

Tuesday -
Miniserial address IN Second Life (SL) novel! Technology slightly iffy (but as not Wednesday SL stayed up - only dumped the minister out ONCE!) Left many unimpressed (unfortunately) but I thought it was excellent at highlighting the bringing together of people from diverse places and the ability to create 3D items etc (the atom) to share and explore fully - something that would be very expensive (if possible) in RL!

Good keynote speakers - slightly at odds with each other - both seem to agree that the secondary ICT is deadly dull and in no way keeping up with pupil's skills and exoeriences at home!

The move from Spoken knowledge to printed to Boradcast media (TV - few to many) then NOW - Pull culture of many-many

Good quote - "Don't think, try!"
